CE faculty member, Mia Rosenthal, included in the exhibition, Here and Now: Prints, Drawings, and Photographs
Study for After Cole: The Oxbow
CE faculty member, Mia Rosenthal, announced that she is one of the artists included in the exhibition, Here and Now: Prints, Drawings, and Photographs by Ten Philadelphia Artists at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. The exhibition runs from September 10 – December 4, 2011 and is located in the Berman and Stieglitz Galleries. (FYI, if you enter through the west entrance you can see the show without buying a ticket, it’s across from the gift shop).
Included in the exhibition is a new drawing the PMA has acquired, titled ‘Study for After Cole: The Oxbow’ (attached). This piece is part of a series I am working on that involves drawing plants, animals, insects birds and aquatic creatures of the Hudson River Valley in configurations based on master works by Hudson Valley School artists.
